Didn't quite hit the reset button at the top of this year? Not to worry, this lunar eclipse is here to provide that opportunity.
Instead of a typical full moon, as astrologer Aliza Kelly explained to E! News, lunar eclipses occur when “the Moon reflects the Earth's shadow, transforming it into a dark, tawny red,” adding that they’re “linked to the lunar nodes—also known as the North and South Nodes in astrology—so these lunations raise the stakes.”
And with that, not only do these occurrences serve as a time to restart, but Aliza shared that they also assist in “accelerating change and bringing hidden truths to the surface.”
“Since this eclipse is in Virgo,” Aliza told E!, “themes around health, organization, daily routines, and perfectionism will be especially highlighted.”
As for which zodiac signs will be impacted?
“Mutable signs (Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, and Sagittarius) will feel this eclipse the most, particularly those with placements around 23º of these signs,” she shared. “Virgo placements may experience a major shift in their personal identity, while Pisces placements could undergo emotional revelations regarding relationships. Gemini and Sagittarius may need to recalibrate their day-to-day balance between responsibilities and future goals.”
However, not everyone will be hit as hard. In fact, there’s a few signs that can actually breathe a sigh of relief.
"Earth signs Taurus and Capricorn may find this eclipse more stabilizing rather than disruptive," Aliza noted, "helping them clarify their goals and refine long-term plans. Similarly, Cancer and Scorpio might experience this eclipse as an opportunity for creative or spiritual recalibration rather than a dramatic upheaval."
But overall, this lunar eclipse in Virgo "signals a shift in priorities, particularly around health, wellness, and productivity."
"Expect wake-up calls regarding routines and efficiency," Aliza explained, "whether it's a realization about burnout, an unexpected change in work structure, or a need to set healthier boundaries. On a collective level, this eclipse may bring renewed attention to issues regarding public health, environmental concerns, and systems that need restructuring."
