Michelle Trachtenberg spoke out about personal resilience several weeks before her shocking death.
The Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress, 39, had been active on her social media in the weeks leading up to her Feb. 26 death, sharing throwback red carpet photos and selfies, including one that was accompanied by a message of support to her followers.
"Recently with all of the madness going on in the world, it’s time to be strong," the Gossip Girl alum wrote on Instagram Jan. 17. "Eye believe YOU are stronger than you think you are #grateful."
Michelle last shared a selfie Feb. 12, writing, "Eye of the Tiger," and also posted four days prior, along with the caption, "The warmth before the storm."
And while the Harriet the Spy star didn’t share many glimpses into her personal life on social media, she occasionally shared pics with former costars.
"Slay all day!" Michelle wrote on Instagram Jan. 22, alongside a 2014 snap of herself with fellow Buffy alum Sarah Michelle Gellar, who played the main character and her sister on the show, and with whom she has reunited several times over the years. "Always loved this twinning photo of us!"
Michelle was found dead Feb. 26 in a New York City residence, the New York Police Department confirmed to E! News, adding that authorities had responded to a 911 call of an aided individual at the apartment that morning around 8 a.m. local time.
Criminality is not suspected, the spokesperson continued, adding that the medical examiner will determine the actress' cause of death and that the investigation remains ongoing.

"Upon arrival, officers observed a 39-year-old female unconscious and unresponsive," the statement said, noting the woman was later confirmed to be Michelle. "EMS responded to the location and pronounced the victim deceased."
