Rebecca Minkoff is ready for a new beginning.
The designer announced that she will not be returning to The Real Housewives of New York City after appearing as a "friend of" the cast on the just-wrapped season 15.
"2025 is a new beginning for me and with current events in the world, I am reminded the importance of family, friends and community now more than ever," Rebecca wrote in a Feb. 4 Instagram post sharing the news. "The last month has given me a perspective on wanting to focus on my wildly amazing 4 kids, my supportive husband, my business of 20 years, the Female Founder Collective, my podcast and MY BOOK."
"As much as I have learned along the way with this franchise and fans, I want to reprioritize the things that mean the most to me: designing, giving back, supporting women and raising my family," she continued. "I am truly grateful for the experience, the friendships and the fans that have been part of this RHONY chapter."
Rebecca—who shares Luca, 13, Bowie, 10, Nico, 6, and Leonardo, 2, with husband Gavin Bellour—finished by declaring that it's "time to turn the page."
The 44-year-old made the announcement in the hours after the final part of the RHONY reunion aired on Bravo.
During the episode, her affiliation with the Church of Scientology was put under the microscope. After a fan question told her that she should "stop normalizing cults," the Fearless: The New Rules for Unlocking Creativity, Courage, and Success author fiercely defended the organization against such labels.
"That is a bigoted term," Rebecca, who also practices Judaism, told Andy Cohen. "It's hate speech to keep calling a religion a 'cult.'"
Throughout her one season on the Bravo hit, the handbag designer often found herself sparring with costar Brynn Whitfield, who accused her on the reunion of not actually living in New York City.
After Rebecca said that Brynn "never bothered to get to know" her, Brynn said it was "because [she] moved to Florida a week before" filming started on season 15.
"You fly in to film with us," she claimed. "I've known this from day one."
However, Rebecca maintained it wasn’t quite that simple.
"I own two houses here," she shot back. "I pay taxes here. Most successful people live in multiple places, so don't tell me about where I live. Are you the location police? I'm glad you're tracking my whereabouts!"
With her single season stint on the show, Rebecca joins Eboni K. Williams, Cindy Barshop, Jules Wainstein and Barbara Kavovit as fellow RHONY one-season wonders.
(E! and Bravo are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
