Shep Rose was tricked by a very charming Southern Charm fan.
In fact, Shep's Bravo costars are shedding light on how one woman stole the eternal Charleston bachelor's heart with false pretenses on the reality show's recently premiered 10th season.
"I think it was really sad to see a fan use him, because I think Shep was actually in love with her," Venita Aspen exclusively told E! News during the Southern Charm premiere party in New York City. "And this is the first time we see Shep in love and she just used him."
But it gets worse.
"It was a joke," Venita continued. "There's a whole TikTok of her actual boyfriend floating around on the internet. She had a boyfriend that she decided to post after we were done filming."
In the dramatic season 10 trailer, Madison LeCroy even joked she was a "stalker."
"Honestly, I was told she was a stalker," Madison clarified to E! News on the red carpet. "But not really her, more so her grandmother. It gets weird. Her grandmother runs a fan page."
Rodrigo Reyes even revealed he and fiancé Tyler Dugas and Austen Kroll and his new girlfriend Audry vacationed with the former couple last summer at Shep's parents' house and didn't pick up any red flags.
"We all went down there, we all had a great time, she was so fun," Rodrigo recounted to E!. "It was so nice. I felt like that was real. And then to watch things progress a certain way, I was kind of disappointed, because I had high hopes for her and it fell."
"I do like her," he added, "but I realized sometimes the fans creep in, and that ain't it."
