Olivia Munn is embracing her scars from her cancer battle.
The Newsroom alum showcases her body following her double mastectomy and breast reconstruction in an ad campaign for Kim Kardashian's shapewear company SKIMS, in partnership with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure charity.
"In the middle of this latest SKIMS bra campaign shoot, I decided I was done being insecure about my mastectomy scars," Olivia wrote on Instagram alongside images of herself posing topless. "Every mark life has left behind on my body is proof of how hard I fought. I hope other women who have been self-conscious about their scars see these photos and feel all the love I'm sending."
Other pics show Olivia—who shares kids Malcolm, 2, and Méi, 1 month, with husband John Mulaney—modeling the several SKIMS bras, including the Ultimate Nipple Bra, and the Smoothing Brief Bodysuit.
Initially, the 44-year-old was not comfortable showing certain parts of her body.
"I wanted to only wear certain pieces that wouldn't show certain scars," the 44-year-old said on the Oct. 23 episode of the Susan G. Komen Real Pink podcast. "And they were very understanding of that and didn't hesitate and just switch things out for me."
Olivia continued, "I was looking at my mastectomy scars and I was thinking about the first time I saw them and how shocking it was for me. And I thought, you know what? I do look at these scars as proof of how hard I fought. And I think I want to not only embrace the scars right now but show other women who have these same scars that there’s nothing to feel bad about."
Ultimately, the X-Men Apocalypse actress is glad she worked through any initial hesitations. "I am proud of myself for pushing past that fear," she said, "and I really hope that other women see them billboards and online and magazines and feel really beautiful knowing that they have the same scars that that I have and that I’m embracing them."
As part of the campaign, SKIMS will donate to Susan G. Komen 10 percent of the retail sales price for each bra sold in SKIMS stores and on Skims.com in the United States through the end of October.
Olivia had shared her breast cancer diagnosis in March. In addition to her double mastectomy, she also underwent a hysterectomy to remove her uterus and fallopian tubes and oophorectomy to remove her ovaries, which rendered her infertile.
In September, Olivia and John welcomed their second child, daughter Méi June Mulaney, who was born via surrogate and conceived with a frozen embryo the couple created with IVF before Olivia's reproductive surgeries.
"Méi June Mulaney came into the world September 14, 2024," the duo announced on their Instagram pages Sept. 22, "the year of the dragon."
