Dearest readers, there's no need to mourn the end of the courting season.
After all, the stars of Bridgerton season three hinted at a few storylines fans can look forward to in its fourth installment, which Netflix confirmed back in 2021.
For one, viewers will get to see what Nicola Coughlan's Penelope Featherington and Luke Newton's Colin Bridgerton turn their attention to after that jaw-dropping finale, during which the couple solidified their love and Penelope's identity as Lady Whistledown was revealed to the Ton. And for Nicola, all eyes are on her onscreen BFF Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie).
"I want to get involved in Eloise's business big time," she exclusively told E! News' Francesca Amiker of what she expects to see in the show's next chapter. "I really want a You Me and Dupree situation for the three of us."
Luke seconded the Derry Girls actress' sentiments, hinting that the couple can "matchmake" together before also expressing his excitement to simply see them "happy."
"Maybe we can be the comedy duo of next season," he continued, "because we really enjoyed the rom-com element of this year."
Of course, Nicola and Luke weren't the only ones with dreams of being involved in the romance of season four. Adjoa Andoh, who plays Lady Danbury in the regency-era drama, also hopes to get in on the love, quipping to E! that she'll "have some sex as well."
And while the 61-year-old is antsy for a piece of the romance pie, her castmate Ruth Gemmell, a.k.a. matriarch Violet Bridgerton, felt confident there will be enough courting to go around for everyone at the decadent balls, revealing that she foresees "dancing for all of us."
But not all of the castmates were were willing to divulge their predictions. Jessica Madsen (who plays Cressida Cowper) and Hannah Dodd (Francesca Bridgerton) were more focused on returning to set.
"I can't wait to get back to work," Hannah told E!, while Jess added, "I just want for it to keep on rolling. Let's go, let's go, let's go."
As for Claudia? Well, she's waiting to be surprised by what's in store just like the rest of the world.
"We know about as much as you do about season four," she confessed. "Honestly, genuinely."
